Musicians' thread.

Here's a remix thingy that I have made, it's not finished I was hoping you guys could give me some advice, firstly I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or right so if you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Would also like advice on how to make the drop at around 2:35 to be much stronger.

BTW it's a remix of Crazy White Boy - Zoma , Great song.

Hey guys, just punting the classified thread, selling off some of my studio gear.

Which thread? Where?

EDIT: Found the classifieds ads.
Out of my league kinda stuff - was thinking maybe you had some nice mics laying around :o

Les Paul be gone. Traded for a Gretsch Electromatic 5120 and a bit of a cash difference from my side.
Quite chuffed!
New strings and some setup and it'll be good to go! :D

Still open to going full acoustic - but these hollow body's have always intrigued me.
And I'm keen to play around with it for a while.
If it doesn't suit me - I should be able to get it sold and then go for that Cort I had my eye on.

Mmmmm...and so the SE X1 comes into view

Update on my experience with the Gretsch Electromatic G5120: Loving it!

First time that I'm appreciating the sound of a guitar through an amp.
Not even the Epi Les Paul gave me this much enjoyment.
Acousitcally it's not the loudest sounding guitar obviously, but does well in a small area or just for a practice jam.

Had new strings fitted, the action was to my liking - was silly of me not to replace the nut for a bone one at the time, but will get to that.
The bridge and electronics are next on my list.
For some weird reason, I've lost signal to the neck pickup - either it's dead, the pickup selector is "iffy", a wire came loose or I dunno.
But will have it seen to.

Either way, was gonna replace the pickups - so that and a visit to a Luthier and I'll be happy as rain! :D

Been browsing the classifieds for 2 months now and still have not found a decent bass. Nobody seems to be selling bass guitars anymore, the only things I can find are Cash Converters jobbies and other such carp.

If anybody knows of a bass that is for sale please drop me a line. Can't afford too much at the moment probably up to about 4k. I should be able to pick up an okay Ibanez in that range.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, it must be in Cape Town.

Musician's thread.

Wow thanks dude. Those Cort action basses sound a bit like a sick mule - was my first bass. I'm very picky even though I'm only going to probably be needing the bass about 4 or 5 times.

Very difficult for me having to make do with a cheaper bass after playing a Fender Jazz Bass for 3 years.

Have to make a plan soon though and don't have endless funds :(

Thanks again for the effort.

Sure thing - I just happened to chance upon them while browsing the classifieds.
I'm looking out for a Cort CJ10 X and an acoustic amp.
Found a Laney 35C Amp for R1k which seems very interesting - but the 65D seems to have much more life to it.
