Mweb 1 Mbps uncapped, getting 2Mbps speed

Unfortunately the hardest thing to do with Mweb is change your package or else I'd switch to the 2mbs in a heart beat (even though it is poorly priced compared to competition) but switching from 384 to 1mbs 3 months ago took six phone calls, five ID/Proof of residence faxes a dozen emails and a few signatures to go with it.

I have NO IDEA why it's harder to move packages with Mweb than to even sign up in the first place.
 
Speed is back to normal now. I enjoyed it while it lasted, finished a few large downloads in double quick time. Thanks, for a blue Monday it was something better.
 
Speeds are still very good for 1Mbps! (On a 2Mbps line)

Test conducted on Mon Sep 10 2012 21:51:08 GMT+0200 (South Africa Standard Time)

Download Speed: 1086 kbps (135.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 414 kbps (51.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 37 ms

I wish sometime Telkom will improve the upload speeds of the lines for a change.

NNTP goes at around 110-115KB/s.

Ok, so i finally got my line upgrade yesterday to 2Mbps. Now the problem is my 1Mbps account is running at 24Kbps.
called Mweb & had the account reset 4 times already & still no joy.

Hi DjStyles

Please allow me the opportunity to look at this from our side. If I understand correctly, your line is syncing at up to 2Mb and the account is still on the up to 1Mb profile.
