MWeb 1mb review (from 30 march 2011)

So... I have had my 1mb uncapped line for 2 weeks now. Great browsing speed during the day, standard downloads go great during the day as well, also great torrents after hours.

Before:
Downloads +/- 100KB
Web browsing: Great

Today: (30 Mar 2011) I can only download files (http, ftp etc) at +/- 19KB????

With all the users moving over from 512 to 1MB does this mean less of the pie for 1MB users?

Has anyone else had speed problems?

COuld be but I know of a lot of users going downwards! this is my last month on 4MB...
It could also be your exchange....my 4 Mweb is still flying...

today 1 june 2011, now my 1mb line downloads slower than a 384k line.... im getting 18k down on an executable file.....

Is this what to expect on a 1mb line? really mweb????

I have noticed this too--are you by any chance downloading device drivers from an ftp site? those are generally very slow (they have a limit from server side--so I was told). Try local sites and International downloads--do a download from cnet or download.com and check.

I am sure the lines get congested at times...not a good experience for me knwoing i had 4MB line just last month...

have been downloading photoshop updates & drivers. both seem to be really slow. Total size of both 100mb. Hope they will allocate more capacity to deal with this heavy 'shapping' if that what is going on.
