Mweb 4MB Uncapped very slow!

Hi, I have a Mweb 4MB Uncapped account and 4/10mbps Telkom line. For the past 2 days its been running very slow and sometimes pages even timeout. I went into my routers admin panel and the downstream speed was 1280kbps and upstream speed was 256kbps. Mweb Guy, can you please help me to fix this?

Looks like they reduced your syncing speeds. Give them a call

Hi Sebastian.s1994,

As Centronix mentioned, it certainly does seem as though your line speed has been decreased based on what you saying.

Those line speeds looks like it is due to poor signal strength (low SNR margins), because Telkom would never set it to such random values such as 1280kbps, so there is definitely something wrong with your ADSL line if you used to synchronize at 4Mbps down + 512kbps up.
 
Doubt he would have bought a 4mb account if he wasnt getting full speed before... Something odd going on. Would NOT be surprised if telkom got your account mixed up and downgraded your sync speed.... :rolleyes:
 
Hi, thanx for all the replies. I gave Telkom a call today and they sent someone over and fixed it. All the Telkom guy told me was that there was something wrong with the box on the corner of the street, maybe one of Telkom's newbie guy ;). I check again on my router and I have full syncing speeds again. :)
