So I got the MWEB 7401VGP Router on Saturday. Last night it just switched off by itself. I picked it up, felt it was a bit hot so thought maybe it overheated. Luckily I had a spare billion router I bought earlier, continued with that. I tried the mweb router again when it was cooler but still nothing.

This morning I found the problem, the power supply light does not come on anymore. So I'm gonna call MWEB now, tell them about how their "free" router broke in 4 days of usage but how will i get it fixed? Mweb or billion don't have offices here in Durban (that I know of) and they can't expect me to pay for posting their inferior products back to them. Oh well I'll update this after I call them

Have you tried the MWEB router with a power supply from your spare Billion? If the light on the power supply isn't working then that could be where your problem lies.
Have you had lighting in the area....coz that could have popped your power supply, especially if it is one of those surge protection units.

MWEB are usually pretty good when it comes to swapping units out if the unit is faulty.

Yeah I tried the power supply from the spare and it works fine so thats isolates the problem to the new power supply. I'm pretty sure there was no lightning last night.
