MWEB ADSL international problems

My international is DOA

Not sure if DNS solves the issue. I have always been running on 8.8.8.8 and this has come to a halt. When you ping google you get response time variations of 350 to 1200ms. Is anybody else getting this?

getting 196ms ping to bbc.co.uk and 204ms to google DNS (8.8.8.8)...

From what I am reading on the net this happens a lot? I am new in South Africa. Can anyone shed some light on how long this usually takes to resolve? Should I go sleep?

Hmm, perhaps its not just MWEB that has issues.

Our link from Vodacom's datacenter in Bellville to the US is also experiencing heavy packet loss since 19:18.

[-]My Afrihost account is just as slow as my Mweb account on international stuff.

Seems like the only real internet connection that works that I have access to is NeoBroadBand. LOL.[/-]

I didn't route my traffic correctly via Afrihost, so it was working 100%

Mweb: "We don't throttle" - they just make internet so unbearable that you want to stop using it.

GREAT backup plans from MWEB. For such a "smart" provider they do very little to show it...

I would suggest sleeping! It should be resolved by the morning... Hopefully tomorrow morning and not another morning!!

Mweb have not had a major breakdown like this in a quiet some time.

It was better for a short while, because it is intermittent like moosag said, so now I'm just going to use Afrihost.
