Mweb and P2P

I seriously doubt its that high. I've haven't seen cached content on it older than a week or two.

I'll clarify then, yes cached content only lasts a few days but mweb will retrieve articles up to about 230days old. I'm not sure what the exact cut off period is.
I downloaded something recently that was 225 days old.
Uncached downloads are shifted into the p2p grouping so you do get slightly slower speeds but nothing as bad as torrents

So can someone help me understand the News server concept? (OT I know)
I currently use NZBMatrix to search for stuff to download, then use my Astraweb credentials in Grabbit to download the file.
So if I understand what you guys are saying correctly, I could just search for a file on NZBMatrix (~<230 days old), put in the Mweb news server login details in Grabbit, and it'll download from there? No need to have a paid Astraweb subscription?

I use:
MWEB
NZBMatrix VIP (800+Days Retention, access to API for Auto Downloads)
SABnzbd+ - Auto Downloader app
SickBeard - tells SABnzbd+ what Series + Adds series information etc ect
CouchPotato - tells SABnzbd+ what Movies to download and adds info

Mweb - tick
SAB - tick
SB - tick
NZBMatrix - tick
Couchpotato - that's a new one worth looking into. Thanks :)

I am in the process of setting up a rough guide for integrating these apps - will post up a thread soon :)
