MWEB and Youtube [RESOLVED using a VPN]

Hi

After allot of struggle my problem is finally resolved thanks to one of my friends. A few weeks ago i posted a problem i have with facebook and youtube, they where the only sites i had very slow connection. Then i found out by one of you guys there is a few thread/posts about these sites and mweb having problems. Having consistent similar issues and no solutions i eventually had enough. So now i just have to wait 30 days and then im at my new ISP. But in the meanwhile a friend has given me a solution.

Friday night had friends over and wanted to play music through youtube in background, but like always here from 17h00's the music start lagging and music that is lagging is the most annoying thing ever! So my friend says also to me, it is throttling. He showed me then to change my proxy(not sure if it is legal?) and guess what, Bob is your uncle! Since then the whole night i had no problems! As soon as i change back to the "normal youtube" on the old proxy it takes about 15min and then it lags again. Then immediately i go back to the German one, then boom its working perfect. Saturday night again, normal youtube started lagging from, i went to the german one and again it works like a bomb.

I do not understand why this works, but it does! And best of it all is for some reason if i minimize the german youtube i can listen to music without any advertisements! That is awesome, because that youtube add with the rapping and goat is *** annoying as you cannot skip it!

Ever heard of Adblock?

If you're on mobile, just run the YouTube background playback Xposed function. Root is required though. Otherwise YouTube Red does the same.

Yep. Still don't understand why people stay with them when they cost a premium compared to anyone else and don't have nearly as much redundancy in place as other ISP.
Guess their adds get the lazy/people without knowledge/understanding of faster/better net.

Exactly.

But you get what you pay for. Their "uncapped" solutions are cheap, as long as you hardly use it.
 
I just hope Afrihost is as good as everyone says. I've got the 100gig 4meg unshaped one which i think will be perfect for me. It is unshaped :)
 
Keeping in line with the meta, inb4 PostManPot...

You made a very good choice to move away from MWEB. Just stay away from OW and you should be able to use the internet again like a normal person.

Please provide me your MWEB account details in order for us to assist you with the query.

We would like you to complete a test for us, when the issue occurs.

When we enable monitoring on your account, we can see how the traffic is identified on our side.

If you could perhaps test YouTube via the VPN and normally in order for us to see if it is identified differently on our side and what the differences are.

This would assist with the resolution of the query.

I'm having the same issue with mweb shaping Apple Servers , im really gatvol of MWeb. The biggest ISP , the worst for shaping accounts

Same sh*t , do a line speed test, list the Apple server

I setup a temp VPN , problem solved.
