Technofool, apologies, forgot about your PM :o

First you need a engineering release version firmware.
You need to have a serial connection to the router (one of the four LAN ports doubles up as a serial port) with a terminal session running.
You need a LAN cable connected to the router (on port 1 I think)

I'm still waiting for Billion to send me the firmware which I suspect is not going to happen but I will try again

You cannot setup a pppoe on a network locked router. It does not allow bridged connections.

The great thing about the word "cannot" is that it inspires ordinary people to make extra effort to prove that there is nothing that we "cannot" do.

Unlock Mweb 7401vgp to run in bridged mode.

No firmware, no cables:

In the router interface, Go to Quickstart.
Click on Auto Scan.
Type the Routers IP in both fields.
You then click on Apply and it should then allow you to change the Encapsulation.
I've only tested mine with Bridged mode.

Make sure you make a backup before you change. i find that the easiest way to revert back if required.

RouteSentry will help you setup 2 connections, google for how on various OS's
