Mweb dedicated hosting question

I am not sure if this is the right section to post this, Mods please move if I am in the wrong.

I would like to base my question based on the link below:

My team and I sent out a quote request in response to the above article and the quote we received looked nothing like the above. We were give the following document that makes no sense to me:

The "Services Selection" part does not, in my opinion reflect what the article said. I am referring to the monthly charges. The article clearly states that their Server Hosting Basic plan starts at R 1,139.00 PM with 100GB traffic with a setup cost of R877.19, which disputes the "no setup fee" on the myBB's article. Our quote is considerably different from the "claims" within the article and the listing on the Mweb site.

Did someone omit the extras or does this amount (excuse the pun) to false advertising. Please do not get me wrong, I am not expecting Mweb to bring out plans that cost close to nothing, I just wish companies would not hide so much info.

Maybe we should go with the Heztner people.

I looked into this and apparently there are no set up fees for the hardware. If you want them to install any software, then they charge for this. OS included in their definition of software but excluded from "initial set up".

So to avoid the set up costs of the OS, you need to go and install the software at the DC yourself.

EDIT: I have no idea how they came to that monthly server hosting fee. Maybe ask the guy to adjust it to the pricing on their site.

Well, we are on the Microsoft BizSpark plan and thus our OS requirements have been taken care off settled. We also have a team member has someone who will be in charge of running the servers. Maybe we need to just clarify with them. Thanks for the response bullfrog.
