Last month I emailed Mweb to cancel my subscription on the 25/08/09 but on the 31/08/09 when they announced that 3 gig accounts would become 5 gig for the same price , I decided to reinstate my account again which they did very quickly.
I also told them to change my 4 gig unshaped account to 3 gig because of the new benefit of the 5 gig.
Today I phoned Mweb to make sure everything had been done they tell me that the 3 (5) gig will only take effect next month October .
Surely if whatever we change on our billing takes effect the next month there should be no difference if I change on the first of the month or the last day of the month .
Been with Mweb since the day they went into business and this is the treatment I get .
I am so P.....d off

haha... what did you expect? Mweb are not in it for the customers... they are in it for the MONEY!!! ... and judging by their prices, they want oodles and oodles of it.

Hi Kazu, I'll chase it up with Client Services.

If I may clarify, you have no issue with your 1st 5 GB account that was reinstated, but rather with a 4GB unshaped account that you wished to have converted to a 5GB shaped? Am I understanding the situation correctly?

Has the dates changed for the extra data allocation?

I only have one account with Mweb a 4 gig account which been re-instated that is fine but I wanted changed to 3 (5) gig from the first of this month because I emailed them last month to have it changed

Hi cavedog, no. If I'm understanding Kazu's situation, I would guess it has more to do with the account conversion (i.e. unshaped -> shaped).

OK Kazu, so its a single unshaped 4GB account that was cancelled, then reinstated but with a request to have it converted to a 5GB shaped account? Is this more accurate?

Send M-Web a letter and tell them that you're packing your bags. They are desperate for customers and the MD might pay you a personal visit to stay with them.

i would remove that customer number post if i were you

Hi, yes I would concur with the above.

Anyways Kazu, your issue has been corrected. Your 4GB unshaped account has been migrated to a 5GB shaped account, effective this month (Sep). Please note the cap upgrades (3GB -> 5GB) are still in progress, so your myAccount control panel may not reflect 5GB Total for a few days.

Thanks for your advice ( customer number removed )

I would like to thank MWEB SERVICE for sorting my problem so quick after i spent hours on the phone trying to sort this problem out with one of your consultants .
:)
