Hey,

I have the infamous Mweb Uncapped 386kbps, and i am having trouble when downloading. When i start the download the speed is at about 60kbytes, and from then on it steadily decreases untill im downloading at around 16kbytes. sometimes it starts around 20 and drops all the way till im downloading bytes, i have asked for them to check my adsl line and they say it has no problems...

? thanks in advance

EDIT: this is with ALL downloads, and any website.

Check out the many threads about MWEb download shaping etc. What you may need to check is what you are downloading - HTTP / Torrent / News. Some more shaped than others.

I have the same issue - since the beginning of the year. Last night I phone the MWEB call centre. The technical assistant did some checks on his side and confirmed that all was OK. He asked me to download a file from the telkom website - I did this and confirmed a download speed of between 13KB and 16KB/s. He then said I should check with telkom. Phoned them, technician reset link, rebooted ADSL router, etc. Initially appeared to be faster, but I don't believe I'm in a better position. What to do?

Hi scofield

Please PM me your MWEB account details in order for me to investigate your query. Please include roughly what time of the day you are downloading so that we can troubleshoot further.

Regards,
MWEB Ops

Hi migraineboy

Can you please drop me a PM with your MWEB account details so that I can investigate further. Can you please inform me from which sites you are wanting to download from as well.

Regards,
MWEB ops
