MWeb (FreeTheWeb) Uncapped @ R219 per month?

Was on Facebook and I see FreeTheWeb has changed their ad to

Mweb has freed the web and given us uncapped ADSL @ R219 per month. Apply online now.

The ad has both an MWEB and FreeTheWeb logo.

uncapped ADSL at only R219 per month from Mweb!?

I was happily browsing facebook when I saw an advert on the side from mweb which says" Get Better Internet

Mweb has freed the web and given us uncapped ADSL at only R219 per month. Apply online now!"
I clicked on the add and it directed me to their group called Free The Web South Africa!!

It looks like tomorrow at 9AM they are going to have an announcement which if it has anything to do with their add will mean we will be able to get uncapped from Mweb from only R219 a month.

Have any of you heard about this?

EDIT: Seems they made a mistake and the add went out on facebook at 9PM instead of 9AM!

They have just removed the ad from facebook, and the wall posts to those that were asking about it, and the post that was replying to it. I don't believe. Not even for a second those 13300 odd fans of the page will be satisfied in the near future. Look Mweb has been screwing people for ages, buying every ISP under the sun and now they're going to con 13000 odd fans into getting a service they really can't promise.

I do hope however, that I will eat my words.

It will be a brilliant tactic from Mweb. !
 
Impossible... :wtf: must be a scam, they will never offer internet for that price, they are one of the most expensive ISP's around. :whistle:

Thats like saying naspers is the type of company that really cares about the customer's needs.
 
I'll eat my old hard coded "MWEB only" 56k modem... cause thats the last time they suckered me

Ya, I just replied to the other thread Facebook Fan Page. Someone replied to the ad on the fan page and it was deleted very quickly. Apparently they (MWeb) are doing uncapped for R219. When this happens I'll run down the street naked. Really really. They've been ripping people off for years, even those people who signed up with others before they went on a spending spree. With 13300 fans they going to be playing a lot of catchup signing people on, and my guess is yet another well marketed scam.

I will, and hope I eat my words.
 
There were some posts about it on the FTW Facebook Page, but they all got deleted. And there's no sign of the Ad any more.
 
I'm sure it was a slip of the finger more like R2190 if i take the company into account... mweb(bunch of rapists)
 
If I didn't have to tutor 1st years tomorrow i'd be waiting in anticipation at 9AM. Mweb, no i'm flabagasted. Their website still looks the same though, parading "really cheap" internet and pulling the wool over the masses eyes. No way in hell.
 
Wow... guess what I'm doing tomorrow at 9AM??? Yes yes, browsing MyBroadband forum, but on the second tab M-Web! lol, I don't even know what their site looks like these days. They fell out of the price war bus even when we ware still using Dialup!

EDIT: Oh and now WA is not going to sell any more R499 specials untill 9AM tommorrow... and maybe they will not sell anything after 9AM too... can't wait to see what the special's limitations will be...
