My GOG is suffering too, I'm barely managing 2KB/s at this point. It's a normal http download and I'm using Free Download Manager to download it. I tested on our Web Africa account and I get normal speeds from them. Please sort this out because I'm not waiting 190 hours for a 1GB file to download. Download seems to be pointing to http://wpc.11df.edgecastcdn.net.
I've got the same issue. I haven't even bothered to download Planescape as trying to download the 11 meg wallpapers will apparently take me an hour to do. I was hoping it was a problem on GOG's side but it looks like us Mweb guys can't download from their site at full speed for some or other reason. :/

Steam status: still unable to do stuff. Obviously the few meager bytes needed to sync when logging in or launching games is just too much for MWEB's network to handle and must get dropped or whatever it is the hell that they're doing.

Hi Everyone

Please bear with me until after the additional International bandwidth comes online.

If any of these issues are still present after that I'll tackle them.

Thanks
Will

Thanks Will, as long as you acknowledge that there are issues and dress them soon. :)

Also would like to add Xbox Live ports :)

Hi Will,

Sorry I have not read the entire thread, but I have some serious frustrations.

I have a 4mb/s line thru Telkom and Uncapped thru MWeb.

My latency to WoW is over 1000ms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not just that, but my service was disrupted from last Thursday to Sunday! I know you have had issues, but I need to just point this out:

I phone tech support, after following the prompts the line gets dropped.
I phone sales, **** on them - since it is the only options working - and the reply is "We don;t know when it will be fixed, it is an outside problem, we are sorry"

Mate sorry doesn't cut it! I certainly do not expect to be up 24hrs in every month and am sure every reasonable person will agree a DNS or whatever problem once a month is the norm, but I expect a company to sort it in 24hrs!

Further, this latency I am referring to is Bull sh*t!

If you ran out of bandwidth for your clients, please do not make it my problem - I have paid for it!!

If this continues I am gone and I know you are doing hard work to help with the gaming etc, but seriously, 1694ms is just ludicrous!

MWEB DOES sell a SHAPED UNCAPPED service... just like the other ISP's unless you go for the GOLD Uncapped then you get Unshaped Uncapped. There is a reason why that is so expensive.

BUT....

One expects a USABLE speed. No point if it's not usable.

I have to say that given that work was being done. At least I see better performance than last week.

@Darryn and Dareno and other international gamers.

Our international upgrades are scheduled for Sunday morning and this should take some load off those links and bring your latency back to the levels you experienced previously.

You can see the full detail of this in the announcement made by our CEO today in the mailer that was sent out, or you can read it here:

Cool Will,

Well let's see how things go next week! I am not going to make any rash decisions, but I did buy myself a couple of gigs on Axxess and my latency is down to 400ms...just saying, MWeb should be hitting that and lower!
