MWEB intermittent disconnects

Im on 4mb line and it drops every 5 minutes or so and then comes back on - all my devices. Normal browsing is impossible. Its been doing this for the past month or so. Line up and down and up and down. I cannot work like this, please help! My phone has just dropped to 3g as im typing this. Too frustrating!
 
Check on the DSL modem itself - are you seeing 'resync' or sync losses at all? If so, its a physical line issue and you need to get Telkom involved.
 
Regardtv's advice is spot on. First make sure that your line is fine. If not, it is Telkom's problem.

If your line is fine, then contact MWEB.
 
I had the exact same issue

turned out my line was faulty.

Check the noise on your line . that's normaly a good indication if somethings wrong!
 
Mine has also been doing the same, the DSL light would go off and the internet light would go off with it, and it would take a long time to resync.

I also have a huge amount off DDOS attacks in my routers log, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

MWEB said they are going to send me a test router so i can eliminate the possibility of the router being faulty.
