MWEB - International Bandwidth - Update

Good lord. A glimmering of sense. That can't be possible here surely?
Aren't Mweb deliberately lying to people so they can keep all the intertubes to themselves?

LOL! I forgot to put on my tinfoil hat, so I wasn't picking up the conspiracy theories...

I think MWeb would make it a lot easier for themselves if they could just come out straight, instead of 'mumbo-jumbo' about 80% or whatever. It's pretty easy to figure out their routing and the international peering, so I don't see what they have to hide...

:p

It is really funny reading posts from people who claim to know how everything works and that mweb are just lying to us.

Gordon you bloody legend, finally somebody who can explain things :D.

/closes the tinfoil hat stand, i think enough have been sold :D.

Hahahaha +1 Indeed, some sense amongst the madness

:P

Our international bandwidth has been restored and we have started reducing the shaping on our P2P traffic. Thanks again for your patience, we are engaging with Seacom at an executive level to have this resolved.

MWEB Operations

Yippee! This is more like it!

Rouxenator, I'm not sure why you're lying, but please stop it.... what's your agenda?

The Average Speed column is there to put things into perspective for you since reasoning, and I guess maths, do not seem to be a strong point of yours. I should also add that the monthly average speed would have been higher if it had not been for torrents with 0~3 seeders on them at times.

So please tell me again, why all the complaining? Obviously uncapped will be shaped to ensure QoS for all users and obviously that means P2P gets hit first and business hours is prime time for shaping. But you knew that when you singed up for uncapped, right?

Frankly that says nothing to me. You could be downloading something local or through a VPN. Getting full linespeed is not the problem, I can do the same IF I tunnel my traffic but for normal day to day usage this should not be necessary!!!!

Locally ?! We have internet locally ? Well the only site I can think of locally is this one :p
All that traffic was international, either P2P or HTTP. So again I ask, why all the complaining ?

Geez what on earth do people dowload locally that totals 200gb?

I use a couple a local forums but everything else is int and pulled 120gb thus far :D. Sure a few bumps along road but i got good suspension :D
