Does anyone else have issues in Wynberg area in Cape Town.
I connect to the account (after quite a while), but no throughput.

Switched to Afrihost account and everything flys.

I lost connectivity last night, and even the phone was down. Happened to quite a few areas.

Mweb have a fault logged on their site since this morning. So something has exploded.

Their reliability has been pretty shaky these past few weeks. I'm being optimistic about it coming right though.

I am in the Edgemead area, and my line has been extremely unstable for the last 24 hours.. Slow speeds, the line loses sync and the line noise has gone up to 29DB from 20

Anyone else in the north suburbs having issues

I must say that is true. Was at a friend's place last night and the MWEB access was dead as a doornail. The Afrihost account on the other hand was flying like a bat out of hell!!!

Hi Guys

There is an outage at the moment in the area, please see outage on our notice board.

Thanks for info. Will this be affecting all ADSL customers irrespective of ISP or just MWEB users? Why ask is because some of my other buds out in Wynberg, Plumstead and Diep Rivier with other ISPs are not having the same probs. In fact, their speeds were better than ever last night.

Seems to be an MWEB ISP issue.

I haven't noticed any issues in Wynberg. Streaming and gaming has been fine.

My line did go down on Tuesday evening for a while which was Telkom related.

So latest development on my link is that i now have connection, but it diverts me to a landing page which says i am on the wrong number?
Seems somewhere between Tuesday and today my landline number may have changed at Mweb.

After much thought and consideration...I'm "jumping ship" and cancelling my MWEB ADSL account. The unfortunate part is that its not effective immediately but a calendar month. I just cannot accept the service levels and speeds since the Telkom "auto" upgrades.

I have a friend on Afrihost and his speed is constant and his downloads for this month is double mine...
