I have noticed this week that several clients have called me and emailed me to advise they have not received emails that I sent them. The messages have been sent, show under my sent items and I am receiving *no* errors when sending.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Nope. For a while MWeb email when sent from the iBurst network was marked as spam by Hotmail.

I've checked and it isn't a Yahoo/Hotmail/Gmail spam folder thing. The same happens when sending to large corporate domains.

If you have an mweb email address, send 10 test messages to yourself and see how many you receive, label them test001, test002 and so on.

I tested yesterday, and 10% to 20% of the emails I sent to myself were never received :wtf:

I am using smtp.mweb.co.za.

Anyone else?

I know of some people having the same trouble.
And if it eventually goes its a long delay.

Same here, thought it was because I sent via Telkom account (pop), but used both smtp.mweb.co.za and relay.mweb.co.za, but both with mweb loggins and also no errors returned... Have we unearthed a monster ?

Milano, have you posted this in the MWEB FAQ thread as well, or maybe add a pointer there to this thread...This might actually be a serious problem!

Well, for me it is a very serious problem as I'm losing business as a result of some clients failing to receive the emails I've sent them. I haven't posted in the FAQ however I have escalated this to their call centre. They have booked a call back for 5:30pm this afternoon so I am hoping they'll be able to help then. In the meantime I will send a PM to MWEB (forum rep) and ask him to take a look at this thread :)

Ok, received my call back. I am not 100% certain but it seems all the messages that weren't received by the recipients were sent when I was using:

ipass-smtp.mweb.co.za.

This server is the smtp server recommended when you are using multiple ISP accounts.

So they are going to check into that server using the time stamps I've sent them.

Will keep checking if smtp.mweb.co.za is fully operational but I don't have anything on record yet to suggest there are any problems with smtp.mweb.co.za .

Oh, I should add, as usual Mweb's escalated support is highly professional and very knowledgeable :)

Oh, the MWeb tech said these messages when they are in quick succession can be greylisted by the server so this is perhaps not a good way to test.
