I remember those bundles. Wasn't it called the Big Black Box? I have fond memories of playing those bundled Demo games on my mom's work PC. Age of Empires 1, Monster Truck Madness 2, Tomb Raider and Hexen spring to mind. Also, I think Dilbert was on one of the CD's as well.I've never been dumb enough to subscribe to them for any products. I also remember Mweb distributing their CDs with their software to connect via a 56K Modem. Back then we opted for Telkom too.
Mweb has this modus operandi:
Major specials. Everyone signs up.
They start increasing prices.
Customers stay or leave. Leave mostly these days.
So yes. I've never had confidence in them.
Same here, but not willingly as it's due to an agreement with my employer.-1

Let’s all pitch in and buy it. Dibs on being the CEO
Yup, but that is the thingy right there. You are one of the 2 percenters who are getting a good service that you are paying for. You are one lucky bugger! However, there are loads of people who dropped them years ago (myself included) till recently, due to the rapid downward spiral of their crappy service and support.Been with MWEB for over 10 years, both ADSL and Fibre.
Had nothing but good service.
Think I may have called tech support twice in all that time.
Interesting how so many have had such poor experiences.
Have you tried switching it on ?-1

It's more a case of not staying relevant. It started with uncapped adsl. They claimed it was a true uncapped product but instead it was a watered down version of what was already on offer and others were already heading in the same direction but were more open about it than Mweb. Over time the holes started appearing and even though they claimed it was uncapped in reality they were looking at people's usage and sending everyone who went over 600GB emails stating they were violating the terms as you couldn't use that much within the terms which people actually could do.Been with MWEB for over 10 years, both ADSL and Fibre.
