You don't just maybe think that facebook recognised a bad packet of data for that last message and deleted it rather than display it?
No, there was a major purge yesterday and some minor ones during the month. Sometimes you see someone respond to a person with for example; @Simon Xxxx, xxxx but Simon's comment has been erased.
I just find it sneaky that they say they don't censor anything when I've noticed they do.

Actually sometimes the FB messages dissapear themselves when there are a lot of comments ect. and especially when many people view those, because of how the caching servers behind the webservers work. Load balancing don't always put you on to the same backend webserver so chances are sometimes stuff just dissapear, but should come back. If they don't come back there is a good chance censoring did happen.
Yeah Ive seen this with my own post, thought it was gone and was about to query but a few hrs later it was back, must be the FB caching server....

I agree, editing a public response section which you have encouraged to be monitored would destroy thier image quite badly. I don't think that they had anything to do with it either.
