Hi Guys,

Hope this is in the right place to post this question, I noticed something a little odd the other day , a certain website... ok i'll admit its a torrent site... was unavailable, i checked on my phone and at work and the website was up and running as per normal, however whenever i tried to access from my PC at home, there was nothing. Later when talking to a mate (also on MWEB) he told me that he could still access the site i couldn't but could not access the torrent site which he normally used:confused::confused::confused:...... when i checked his site it was working fine on my PC.... so.... question is... is anyone else experiencing this website blocking and is there anyway to circumvent or reset the connection to bypass the block....

I've found Mweb DNS's servers to be notoriously **** and very slow to update.

Chances are the website in question just make a change to their IP information and Mweb's DNS server was yet to replicate the changes.

In future when you have this kind of problem try using Google DNS (8.8.8.8) instead and see if you can get to it then.

*****

So in conclusion, no there is no conspiracy and Mweb isn't out to get you.

Morning strvnmrvn

We don't block site or ports. I know you are saying it a torrent site, but if your friend can access it and they are also with MWEB, then if shows that we don't block sites.

PM me the MWEB email address or username so that I can have a look at the account.

hmmmm MWEB Guy, i appreciate the feedback... but... i don't quite get your logic there... but none-the-less your input is appreciated

thanks for the other suggestions guys, i'll see if i can't work my way around the issue....
