Do yourself a favour and see how much more the Opeweb Gold uncapped account costs. Probably for each thread you pay R20 more.

So cant really compare - price makes a difference for some people. But as they say, you pay for what you get.

Wait until it reaches a point where you're getting fractions of a kilobyte speeds for days on end, or like mine is at the moment simply not connecting to either Mweb's or my international newserver for more than a few seconds.

Besides - you often see this email, R100 odd more for 10x the speed.

AFAIK from the last Openweb newsletter I received, new customers only pay R659 for a 4mb gold uncapped account. Email Keoma and ask him yourself, I'm a R738 paying customer, but lets be honest if you pay the extra R120 you'll get a far superior service in my opinion. I downloaded an nzb this afternoon at 420KB/s during business hours and I wasn't even downloading via SSL to achieve that speed. BUT, different strokes for different folks, if you can't afford it, then unfortunately you'll have to stick with Mweb. I have nothing against them, one of my first 384k gold uncapped accounts was an Mweb one (had great speeds on it), but after that I switched to the VB backbone and never looked back.
