I keep getting this error, it will send some emails but then some it won't and if i send a few times then suddenly it will go through.

I have tried changing the port to 587 but that port doesnt work at all.

Is there anything else i can try?

The ISP is MWEB and the email address is hosted by another provider.

The error message i get is: Server error: '451 Could not complete sender verify callout'

Thanks in advance

ask your mail ISP to setup SMTP auth so you can send through their SMTP server and not Mweb's

to test you can also setup SMTP auth too gmail on port 587 TSL

explain how that works?

Do i use Gmail settings (smtp.gmail.com) on port 587? What authentication do i use?

Changing your port won't help. It's not you, it's the mail server communicating with the recipient's mail server.

SMTP 451's error indicates:

Requested action aborted – Local error in processing.

or

Requested action delayed – Local problem

or

<IP_Address> has recently sent spam

Most likely the last one. If you're using smtp.mweb.co.za and not your own "named" servers, I'd contact MWEB support saying the recipient sees it as spam and to check their mailservers for blacklistings. If it's your own "named" server (smpt.houseofmyglory.com or something other than MWEB), then I'd switch to MWEB's settings and check again. You're more than likely going to get the same message.

Alternatively I'll try Gmail to see if the message still gets 451, if it does, it's the recipient mail server, if it doesn't MWEB has some servers blacklisted and the recipient is actively refusing the delivery of the mail.

I always highly suggest getting your own mail server (you don't need hardware/dedicated stuff for it) instead of going through an ISP's mail server.

More than likely, the mail ISP is MWEB.

Are you using Port 587 instead of 25 as per Mweb's recommendation?

If not try that.
