MWEB - still no price cuts?

atm afrihost is R397 for 1mbps bundle
mweb is R339 for a 1mbps bundle

so mweb is R60 cheaper

so Mweb out priced afrihost,mweb is better for downloading and its cheaper

Is MWeb's new pricing not using the new 1 meg / old 384kbps line rental cost while Afrihost's is still on the old 1 meg cost? That would go a long way in explaining the difference.

Its still a R102 more expensive than Afrihost, but more than good enough news for me!!!

They throttle at 350gig-450gig which is acceptable, while mweb shapes and limits the line , allowing you to do about the same,so there is no real difference.

Quick Q to all 384k uncapped users that average around 3gig per day\ 90 odd gigs per month... Once you have been upgrade to 1Meg will you still run downloads 24/7 ?

I'm sorry Mwebguy but the 2mb package is just too much. I currently pay R500 for 1mb, now I gotta fork out another 180 a month to get 2mb... I may as well go with Afrihost at this point. It's unfortunate as I really enjoyed your quality of service.

This is truly the letdown of the year for mweb customers. When I saw the headline as R999 for 10Mbps, I got that happy feeling. After reading further, it's for data only.

So, my time with mweb has come to a close. It's been a good run, but R500 difference is too much for loyalty in this day and age.
