MWEB - still no price cuts?

Hi Guys

This is the price for our old 384k all inclusive product.
This price will be effective from 1 August for all 1Mbps all inclusive customers on a 1Mbps line.

Good to hear that we now atleast know your pricing for the 384k->1024k customers but what about your 4Meg and 10Meg customers, thats what all of us are waiting for?

Edit: considering the fact that you guys updated the website recently for 1meg customers but left 4meg and 10meg out and kept them normal, so its probably safe to assume price will stay the same from the 1st of aug :( ?

That's what I'm waiting for - Price drop on 4mb or Ciao!

Were all waiting for this, but just in case nothing happens my cancellation has been sent off. By some miracle if they announce something before the end of the month I'll just cancel the cancellation othwise cheers - its been nice.

Don't forget 2 meg line users ;) With the current options, some will be stranded in the late part of next month without an account to match their line speed.

I have been happy with my 4Mb line from MWEB bundled with uncapped data for 899/month. Good speeds, solid AUP, but when are we going to see them start to match Afrihost on price?

A 10Mb uncapped line would cost me a few rands less than I am currently paying for 4Mb.

Have I missed something?

I feel the same way...

Expensive?? When ADSL launched it was R2000 for a 384kb with just 1GB cap! Stop moaning, I pay MWEB R899 with a smile because unlike Afrihost they dont throttle me to death. Run over 30GB a day on P2P and direct HTTP with no hicups or slowdowns

Well me to and i am happy ..but i wouldn't mind a price drop !!

Just saw Mewbs new advert that aired in the middle of Cart Blanche R199 for a 1MB, no price on anything els , 2MB, 4MB, and 10MB all has the same price, in accordance with there website.

7 Days till the 31st there own deadline and complete silence from Mweb and co on everything but there 1meg offering, its safe to say at this stage:

Seems we've been had with empty promises and delays and deliberate stall tactics, if I had known this I could have given notice a month ago and could have enjoyed my full 10meg line speed by now.

No price cut TBE

@Void_Kun If your doing 30GB a day, expect a nice AUP email from them and a cut off very soon, as for afrihost and throttling, they allready stated on the 10meg they will allow you to do 350GB+ before they throttle.

I think others may have stated this, we have changed our uncapped offering significantly, with a huge increase in bandwidth available before throttling, and we don't throttle beyond a certain point to allow reasonable speeds at all times. Please check out our Uncapped Feedback thread.

I'll vouch for this. Have yet to feel a throttle on my 10mb line.

We are still in the process of reviewing our pricing of our products. If we decide to make any changes we will be sure to notify everyone in advance.

We do pay in advance for the ADSL from MWEB right? So my next 1Mbps Uncapped offering debit order will be for R339 correct?

Hi D3x

Existing 1mb Uncapped customers who are eligible to have their line speed increased to 2mb, which will provide a performance improvement, will stay on their current product and pricing.

Customers will have the option to either upgrade to a 2mb uncapped all-inclusive package – pricing to be announced very soon, or to downgrade back to a 1mb uncapped package + 1mb line at the new price of R339-00.

Funny how that chanced since the last time you posted, do you atleast still have the eta at 1st of August?

really guys..Mweb has amazing service and decent speeds, plus no throttling for 899?..

I would much rather have my full speed whole day long than having less that half the speed!..i mean i am paying for my speed an not half of it! some countries dont even know about throttling..so *cheers and applause* to Mweb for getting rid of that! Afrihost an all the others dont give you what you pay for..instead they take away and give back only after hours ?! doesn't sound right to me..im paying so give me my speed???!!.. So go to who ever you feel happy with..

but for me..im happy with Mweb and no throttling on my 4mb adsl..

Yes Mweb can go down with at least R100-R200 ..who wouldn't mind paying less?!..its only smarter do drop their pricing with that amount seeing the other ISP okes are doing it and Mweb is loosing clients by the day..PlUS a little competition is healthy Mweb :)

You guys (Mweb) have a stunning reputation and good service.. don't screw that up for your self's now by not dropping your prices.. rather gain more clients by dropping with R100-R200..and let everyone start seeing why Mweb is much better than the rest..

Still ill always be a Mweb supporter rather than Telkom

Sorry for the late arrival but what determines eligibility?
