MWEB - still no price cuts?

Just sent through my cancellation - if they announce something before the 31st Aug then I"ll cancel the cancellation, otherwise I'm off to AH.

Well the R200+ (Actually R255 if my calculations are correct) saving will buy you a lot of fertilizer to make the grass greener.

We are probably talking about two things here. I'm referring to the line rental part. Telkom has upped it across the board and afaik ISPs would have to increase or sell at a lost.

What I meant was once the actual pricing and upgrades kick into effect, as in from the 1st of August.

We have every right to moan. It is OUR money that we are spending. And being overcharged by the looks of it.

Moaning about this is not going to change squat. The Mweb rep has already said that you guys will find out as soon as he knows anything. If it's really such a big issue, here's a tip: do something about it. Mweb is not stopping you from moving to Afrihost. Vote with your wallets if you want Mweb to respond faster.

Here's what I see:

- People complain about MWEB pricing
- MWEB rep responds by saying he will inform people as soon as he has any information
- People continue complaining about MWEB pricing expecting a different response than the previous one

Strange, when MWEB announced that they gobbled up the 30% Telkom discount on the 4meg lines most of you said you were happy with the price you pay.

Amazing what a little competition can do .. :D

Wow- not bad! Even cheaper than AH.

Current Afrihost pricing doesnt yet take into account the free 384 to 1 meg upgrade which the new telkom pricing includes. I'm thinking afrihost will probably drop the price down to R299 by next month, R320 at the most.

^5 on a good answer. Yes, we would like to see [preferably soon] an indication of new pricing, but I suppose it will come when it comes.

There MIGHT be a small but:

6am - 6pm : Up To 472 kbps

6pm - 10pm : Up To 767 kbps

10pm - 6am : Up To 1 mbps

That's only international speeds. Local still line speed.
