MWEB throttling question ( Short question don't worry )

Hi all,

I'll be brief as this topic has been covered a lot I'm sure but I'm new....

I'm on 1MB MWEB uncapped. About 5 days ago I got throttled.

Login to My Account on MWEB's site at 2:22am 25 Dec & see that I'm UNTHROTTLED all of a sudden.

Does it "reset" on the 25th of every month? Why am I unthrottled all of a sudden? ( Not complaining ).

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. Still cancelling with them regardless.

it is a 30 day rolling window , so it means on the 25th your usage for the last 30 days was less then amount for being throttled.

You need to CANCEL your account with Mweb! They are complete and utter crap. There are cheaper options else where, who do not throttle you. Just make sure to remember Mweb will milk the next calendar month out of you

The last year or so I have been having absolute crappy speeds from Mweb.
On a 4 Mbit Uncapped Premium account I was lucky to see 95 KB/sec in the day and 180 KB at night.
After several complaints and a pretty snotty letter, a week later, a lady from their call center phones me and asks me to turn my modem off etc....
I have been a client for over 10 years now and always on a Premium account, you would think I deserve a bit better service than a idiot from the call center who has zero command of the English language contact me.
Last week I cancelled my account with them and guess what, for the first time in a year+ I now see speeds of 350+ KB day and night.

Best decision anyone can make is to leave Mweb. I cannot understand how so many people complaining still stick it out with them. Must be the the hardened SA consumer in them.
