MWEB to offer wireless broadband product

Uh...

Vodacom resellers?

What can they offer to add value... they have a habit of taking ordinary internet and charging more for it...

that is unless they are forced to create a new company called Polka to compete with the cheapie ISP's, now why didn't they just reduce the mweb price?

D

Hands up who wants value added services compared to lower prices.

I don't care about value-added services - I can survive with a basic rock-bottom internet connection.

Besides, should I need anti-spam or antivirus, then I can add these myself...

As for the R2 per Meg outside the bundle... yeee-ikes... but no thanks...

What a joke, its like buying sugar from P&P and then selling it on the sidewalk for the same price, then telling the customer oh but now you don’t have to walk into the shop to get it.
Value added service??
These guys must be smoking something!! I actually find it quite a amazing that they would think (we) the consumer are so dumb that we will think its a worth while deal...
I must admit, I read the article and checked the date….thought it was Aprils Fool..

Earthlink is another big US ISP (third biggest afaik) who is struggling to keep on to it's dwindling dialup customers base once they switch to broadband ... it is now offering it's value added web services like photo hosting, blogging, on backup and security for free if you are a customer.

That is the way to do it and Mweb can do well to look at them as frankly their own putrid value add offerings i.e school homework site, M&G online rather pales in comparison.

i think i'd rather wait for my adsl or iburst R2/meg!
