this is a lot of b*@+&%^( if i've ever read any. we all kno that mweb in not uncapped, as they kick off adsl user left right and centre for using to much data, using download accelerators, VPN's and whatever else they can think of.

its beyond me how ASA could have made this ruling. like everything else in south africa its one big joke. no substance!

i've laid a complaint personally as well as several co-workers, friends and even family. nothing happened at all. got an email from ASA that 1532 complaints had been combined. and never heard another word. they don't even bother to answer your emails.

pity mr heunis did not take them on in court. oh, i forgot. in SA you just cannot win against the big boys.

all you can do is laugh. brought me some laughter for the day.

There is already a thread on this issue here, linked from the news article.

Wrong. MWeb warns users who are in contravention of the T&C. Continued usage which is contravention results in the closure of the account. This has been discussed in detail and at length in many other threads as you know. Termination has nothing to do with "too much" usage. It has to do with contravening the T&C. We all know that. I'm sorry that you feel aggrieved by the ASA ruling. Perhaps consider purchasing a product more suited to your usage.

Weren't you the one who was trying to take mweb to every court known to man? How did that work out?

mk1 == mika1000 ?

uncapped is not unlimited nor is it 24.7 abuse. i do around 100-200gb a month and that's more than enough for me and very well falls into uncapped.

would do you well to study the initial uncapped asa cases
asa rulling : solmatrix has to stop with their "uncapped" (clearly fake uncapped)

asa rulling : openweb is selling uncapped

i've decided to rather donate the money i would have wasted on mweb and lawyers, to cancer research and an orphanage. they need it.

getting thrown off mweb for abusing a 386kb line? thats really rediculous. ask several guys i kno. getting constantly disconected from mweb, no thanks.

cancelled my bonded 4x4-10mb line as well. i'll rather go and visit my boys overseas with the money every month.

i've moved my stuff back to cybersmart. at least there i can call the owner and have my problems fixed in minutes. or mail him and get a response from him personally. and recommend them to my friends without any fear.

@ Dan C ---- maybe you should visit their website first. www.cybersmart.co.za
cybersmart do lines up to 10mb. they provide free cap on all lines with them. and they even provide free hosting for your website.

You are missing the point mate. No ISP out there can offer you a 386 line. Hence the response from Dan C. Note the bold part. I even underlined it. :p

hahahaha....you where actually thinking about taking MWEB to court? hahaha...good luck.

It's the silly season and the pointless replies are coming in thick. Did I say "thick" - yes that suits.

Mweb doesn't need to cap because they don't need to. The shaper does it for them.
