MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Reset doesn't seem to have helped much. Latency is actually higher than it was earlier.
Ping to NY is 305 vs 275 I was getting earlier.

EDIT: Now its just getting ridiculous....

I am not downloading, browsing or doing anything else on the internet...

If I login to my afrihost account everything seems fine. The strange thing is Mweb local is broken as well, so its not an overseas cable thing.

As mentioned earlier guys, thanks for the feedback, its appreciated.

As soon as I have feedback, I will inform you.

80 more international latency. I'm sorry but this is starting to get ridiculous now.

Make that 100. WTF Mweb

Edit: Seems better now, but seriously this is happening every night now.

I'm getting exactly the same sort of numbers. Is this maintenance or what? Very frustrating since I know it's not on my end.

for a moment there I thought it was only me.

browsing doesn't affect me too much, but ofc when you "are on a roll" while searching for stuff and the net just decides to come to halt, it can really p you off.

also downloading been crawling along and at 1st thought it was just the file host was using, but then tried another and did the same.

just curious about something: which gets better priority and which gets throttled more - torrents or file hosts?

Possibly their DNS Servers

I think the MWEB DNS servers are screwed.

I switched to the Google DNS Servers and immediately got full speed back.

I think it may just be their DNS servers that are somehow screwed.

Been sitting with these slow speeds (browsing) since last night.

Even www.mweb.co.za seems to be timing out.

Good morning Off-The-Chart

Torrents gets the lowest priority on our Network.
Are you still experiencing this trouble with your browsing ?

Hi PeeVee

Send me a trace route to a local and international site.

Good morning everyone.

We are experiencing some slow network performance in Johannesburg, due to an issue with the traffic manager.

Our engineers are attending to this urgently.

Some ore feedback, maybe it helps. I did a pathping again a little after 12 last night and it seemed fine with zero lost packets anywhere. Then I did one again at 7 this morning and it was also fine. Then I did one now again and it's busted again:

Thank you for the added information.

Hi Commander Jaco

I have refreshed your MWEB account. Please allow for 30min to pass then reboot router.

Also note one can't compare an FNB account with ours as there are definitely different protocols.

Thanks for the help, I understand the accounts are different, but my point really was my Mweb ping used to be quite lower then it is now.

I will check the connection now and get back to you.

Just got 1 Meg uncapped from mweb.. looking forward to testing this out later...

international speed on mweb 1mb uncapped is crawling today, getting 5KBps-10KBps down :(

Good Afternoon staunchy20,

I have changed a setting on your account, please also change your username realm to @dslmweb.co.za and let me know if that has improved your experience.

1mbps here and downloads get a max of 40-50kb/s and unstable
i am in 2mbps line but 1mbps uncap data

when i do a speed test it stable around .25 and near at the end it jumps high (just jumped to 5mbps) and then jumps down to around 1mbps and then show normal speed as the result
