MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

I know this is not part of M-Web, but I would like to get out of my Telkom contract and sign with M-Web. Is this possible ? I hate their new Uncapped shaping policy. :mad:

You will need to cancel you data portion with Telkom and then sign up with us and le us know you would like your adsl migrated to us.

What is the MWeb monthly 1MB Uncapped charge ?

Will I get shaped or throttled if downloading more than say 100GB a month ? Scanned quickly through the document.

Our 1Mb uncapped accounts are unthrottled packages.

It does not really matter how much you download but more so in the way in which you do.
If you hit those amounts by not bypassing our shaping rules and adhering to our AUP then you will be fine.

My international ping is going crazy. Up and down like a yoyo. Also Hamachi wont connect.

I've been noticing a steady declince in MWEB's performance over the last few day. Torrents are utterly dead at all hours of the day and this is my current youtube speed.

Your average video speed at this location from Jan 26, 2013 to Feb 24, 2013 was 644 Kbps.

Seriously? Youtube has just gotten worse and worse, to the point where I now have to rely on capped accounts to have any hope of streaming. I won't put up with this type of service for much longer.

Same problems here but not worried about torrent speeds.

No issues with Torrents here but definitely having serious crap with Youtube over the past week or so! It's been horrible - I've been having to refresh the stream once or twice - then at times having to drop to 240p on a 1Mbps line :(

Cmon Mweb do something about it as Openwebs 2 for 1 Silver special is certainly looking very appealing! Yep, thats how important Youtube is to me!
 
1)Its random, happens day and night, mornings as well. I would say it happened less over the weekend, but I wasnt as much at my pc to really say
2) Windows 8 64bit, skype 6.1.0.129. I have tried the advanced connection options to clear the port 80 and 443 as alternatives, as being suggested in this thread, doesnt help
3) Yes there are, also having the same issues.
4)What is the exact problem:
4.1) It goes online and offline randomly,
4.2) Skype logs in, but it doesnt come online, so they skype icon on the taskbar stays gray, trying to get online.
4.3) When its trying to get online, which can lasts for hours on end, skype cant be used at all, not for calls or msg's
4.4) see above
 
The cancellation process is enough for me to make up my mind never to return.
The only thing I can imagine is that the accounts and billing lines are inundated with cancellations.

Done!

Phoned 021 596 8480, finally got through, received cancellation form, filled it in, wrote cancellation letter on company letterhead, printed, signed and scanned all forms and emailed [email protected]

WHAT a schlep!
I'm testing plugg atm. So far so good.

Whats the situation with Skype, you found anything exciting to tell us? this is affecting me to the point of me cancelling my account....

Youtube has been ridiculously slow for me the past week or so on my 4meg uncapped account. Its worse than when I had a 384 line, atleast then I could wait for it to buffer. Its basically unusable most of the times now, it will not buffer no matter how many times I refresh or how long I wait. This is pretty much a dealbreaker, it seems Mweb quality is going downhill.
