Nice to know the system should be working correctly again, but we should get some compensation for these continual problems. Madness to pay so much for a service which cannot do even the simple things. Lets hope I can now watch the videos in Steam, as they have not been working for months now!
 
Mine is not fixed, still broken. Browsing is fine, but watching twitch.tv or youtube is embarrassing.
 
I just had a call center agent in the Cancellations Department tell me to "be quiet" because she wants to tell me what Mweb will decide to take off of my bank account. I guess I signed my soul to Mweb for ****ty Internet and they now rule my life...

Absolutely disgusting customer service.

I'm sorry to hear of your experience. This will need to be investigated and I will have the manager of the Cancellations department listen to calls between yourself and the department. This will be dealt with internally.

Phoning technical support now. Speeds have been terrible for ages now.

I'm on a 4Mbps account btw. Capped Afrihost account gets line speed.
 
How is the afrihost 10mb uncapped? I cant believe im asking this question after there past performance. my usage is typically 180gb to 250GB per month. Tried a axxess trial but the latency left much to be desired.

Try Openweb before considering Afrihost.

5 days later since my pm to mweb maybe i will just try that.

WOW: so 720p stream is almost working now 2 x buffer 1 video hmmmmmm........

This I got from Kido which you can confirm with him on the forum, he lives maybe 250m further away from me? (copper length from the exchange)... He is further down the hill from me :(

I am not the most tech savy person on here but even I know that these speeds are truly awful - joined mweb at the begining of last year only for uncapped 1mb but kept our line with afrihost decided to move the line over to mweb as well last month & this is the result not good at all!!!! where at afrihost our line speed was well over 1mb even though we were only paying for a 1mb line I think I was far to hasty & might be making a hasty exit back to afrihost with the whole package (any comments from mweb guy?):whistle:

slower than 81% of ZA?????

Streaming seems to be a little bit better for me tonight, still not 100% but much better. Whatever the problem was last night seems to be gone for now.

I cannot advise when you are will be upgraded as Telkom does not share this info with us.
All upgrades are carried out Telkom's discretion.
