OK it seems that cnbc.com site is problematic then.

MWEB Guy, it seems my problem comes and goes, ATM everything seems to be satisfactory.

MWEB Guy please tell me what is going on with the news server. Downloading from it is even worse than downloading via torrent. A 500meg file takes me 7 hours, normally i can get that within an hour. It's been like this for weeks now :( i am happy if i get 20KB/s on a 1meg line
I will give MWEB one more month then i will look elsewhere, i thought you get what you pay for but this is not a you can charge for.

Hi kimbo

We have no reported issues with our News server and nothing has changed on it. I have tested it and could access & DL from it.

How is your normal browsing & downloading?

Everything else is fine, been on a 30min skype call to UK, very nice. Dowloaded some driver via HTTP and FTP all running at line speed. Just the News Server it does not matter if the content is cased or not, it is sh#t slow.

Suddenly I have this image in my head. Sci-fi movie where something has gone horribly wrong in the colony. In HQ everybody is running around like madmen and sirens are blaring etc. Then elsewhere in the colony where the effects are being felt the pretty spokewoman comes on various public screens "Please remain calm, there is absolutely nothing wrong"

It seems to be an issue with the Mweb news server , i purchased a blocknews account and SUCCESS ! got decent speeds the whole weekend , and throughout the day today .

Please mweb sort the crap out.

Torrents and newshosts are not slow they blady dead as ****.

Im out for 4 days and get all excited to come back online and get a few things and its all like **** slow :( most of the time even dead!!!

Hi kimbo

I have tested the News server again and had no problems connecting to it. The speeds will fluctuate and has never been guaranteed by us.

Like i stated earlier , it seems to be an issue with the mweb news server , not the shaping policies.

That's like testing water purity at the reservoir instead of 5-10km down the pipes. Yes our wonderful official WAS such a genius a decade I think ago.

MWebGuy, specialist phoned me at 13h30, but wasn't home, so he suggested phoning me back at 19h30.

Never happened. Still waiting....

At the moment, I'm not even getting half the speed of my line.

Youtube is fine, buffers every 3rd video or so...

Hi Tjoker

I had a look into your account and the call back is happening at 20h30 as per your request.

not just p2p, youtube is even slower than usual too, which is saying a lot

You can test it but do you get speeds?

Easy to say you can connect to it in the office, we cant connect to it so listen and rectify that and the torrents please dude!

Wow, mweb is flying tonight - torrents downloading at a whopping 6Kb/sec !!!!
