MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Hi Guy,

Line is up to **** again, can't even download email tonight or get to speedtest.net.

Had Telkom move my line on Thursday so that it doesn't run parallel to the electric fence but now only crosses about 3m above it on one point. Also did a port reset tonight and tried an Axxess prepaid account.

Giving MWEB the benefit of the doubt though and still assuming its a Telkom problem.

Or should I just get them to come out and look at it again...

Hi Arzy

How was the results with your Axxess account? An ISP change won't fix a cable issue.

When moving the line to MWEB we become the administrators of it but the actual line stays the same. We can put pressure on Telkom to resolve it but at the end of the day Telkom has a TAT.

It will be best to have Telkom fix the ADSL connection issue.

MWEB Guy.

Reset my ports 3-4 times today. Please check your end again.

I am on skype with a loved one and the line is dropping every 2 minutes.

Hi GhostZA

If I look at your account the only thing I'm going t see is the type of account you on, the amount of data used, if any dropped connections and things to that affect.

Speed test, tracert results will give me more of an idea of what your connection is doing.

Coming back to the dropped connection results, I can see that your connection has dropped more than 40 times. There's no more space on the page :-)

When checking your reading via Telkom, the reason shows: "The call has been disconnected."

This can be either a line fault or router.

I have gone and refreshed your account. I think it's best to have the line checked and maybe test with a different router.

Have you perhaps tried resetting the router? ( not rebooting )

Hi MWEB Guy

Can you please check my connection... Bit slow.... not what i am used too..

Mine is also slower than normal this evening. Latency and speed... For what it's worth, yesterday it was FLYING!

Hi TmanSA

What is happening with your connection? Line and account seems fine from what I can see.

Hi MWEB Guy

The connection is stable... It has just for a few days browsing has been slow... downloads are fine, the the browsing is not cool, like web pages does not finish loading that kinda stuff. I did reboot my router and upgrade the firmware on it but the problem remains..

Weird...

Very TmanSA

Please monitor it and keep me posted. If you stop the downloads, does browsing improve.

Hi MWEB Guy

I only download at night... not during the day, so when i browse there is no downloads running....

Im getting horrible pings in LoL , and sometimes other things are going abit slow. Can you refresh my account/reauth, or is there a problem? I had telkom come check my problem with the line dropping/high attenutation but they did nothing :l

I am slowly losing my patience.....

If Mweb dont sort out their stuff soon, im out

Hi Eliphas

I checked the line readings and the attenuation is not the best. I refreshed your account as requested, continue monitoring on your end.

How do i know if its congested in my area?

I had the same issues last night around this time where my net just seems dead...

Out of the 10, only 1 opened...

Hi Handz

A good indication is if the 2nd of a traceroute is high, that normally points to a congested exchange.
