MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Awesome every month we get to do this dance with mweb guy. Can we please have some consistent good service? My international is laggy, my P2P is dead and hamachi no longer works
 
My router has been unable to connect for the last 5 hours and there are no notices of network downtime on the Mweb Network Status page. The router error log says: Transport endpoint is not connected

Ive tried rebooting but the error persists. Can this be fixed with a port reset or do i have to complain to Telkom? :/
 
My paranoid side says it's big brother's (the stupid one) spyware that's malfunctioning (again) because he keeps hard-wiring it directly into the telephone pole (again) without adding a trip-switch in-between.

I am also having problems with my connection. Things have been slow for about a week now. I am only getting 25% of my download speed on usenet and youtube buffers continuously. I am in Durbanville CT with a 4meg line uncapped. The whole package is with MWEB. Could you please see if there is a problem with my line?

It's the Afrihost guys also. I'm with Afrihost, same area, also 4Mb line and same symptoms.
 
Also heard from someone on axxess that has the same problem earlier today actually.
 
i think i've asked this before but can't find a way to search for it.

what are nntp speeds like during the day?
 
I have just received my complementary line speed upgrade. Now if only I could get MWEB to get back to me with regards of changing my account from 1mbps to 2mbps uncapped. Sent emails and what not and no reply or phone calls. Makes me wonder why I moved back to MWEB. *sigh*

Is this an Mweb problem or a Telkom one? or is this just because we live in a 3rd world country and should be grateful for what scraps of internet we get? The level of service atm is really ass. International is so slow it may as well be gone. P2P is dead. Hamachi is dead.

Can we please get some information on just what exactly is going on? and not some 'oh its cool just reset your router' bs.

average download speed is still averaging 10kbs
1 meg uncapped account was never like this before...
Is this still a seacom issue?
 
Why is the my adsl portal taking so long to update with the latest sessions? Its difficult to keep the abuse department happy if you cannot monitor your usage

hi, i received a notification of abuse last week and immediately responded and throttled my speed to 200kbps from 10h00-16h00 weekdays. I was in contact with the abuse department and asked if this would suffice. they gave a vague answer about a 'significant' decrease and did not comment on whether or not my actions would satisfy them. this evening I received a second warning. I have now ceased all download activity weekdays between 08h00 and 17h00 (what a PITA). so now I am asking you if this will suffice? On a side note it has come to my attention that a man by the name if imthian(from your abuse department) is running background checks on me online without my permission. I am sure this is illegal and request that it be stopped immediately. I look forward to your response.

I am not sure about the background checks you are referring to, we are able to see the type of traffic you are moving via your MWEB account.

I cant get on to CNET and other international sites. Whats going on?

Speed insanely slow AGAIN. Local speedtests are extremely slow too. Latency is insane

Cannot access steam, many things running very slow. It seems every second week there are issues lately.
