Things are much better today (and last night). Streaming working for me again.

Received cancellation verification SMS today - acc will be cancelled on the last day of April.

Was good, but I'm done with Mweb for now.

Not sure what changed but there was a definite improvement in gaming via the PS3 today.

Who to next? I am also considering a change and hopefully a saving or a better deal for the same cost.

Things are still fine on my end. Got through a few downloads ranging between 200MB and 800MB without any problems. Had a steady 108-112KB/s download speed on my 1MB line. Stopped and tested YouTube and was able to stream 360p without any buffering. Really hoping it stays this way, because this is honestly the last chance I'm giving MWEB. I had a OpenWeb trial account which I used from around 8am today, and it was flying from the get go. Switched back to MWEB and the connection was back to terrible. Everything came right after around lunch time though. If there's ever another incident like this, I will not even think twice about moving over to OpenWeb. I really hope these sort of sentiments are being taken note of by MWEB. I definitely can't be the only customer of yours that feels this way. For now, all good.

You're not - not sure there are enough people actually switching though for senior management to take notice

Good Morning Wolfy, please see the private message I have sent you.

This is one area that I have never gotten a stable connection on with MWeb - ie. PS3

I feel your pain!

Spoke to quick. I was good while it lasted but alas it did not last very long

Good Morning Guys, please let me know which games you guys are playing and I will have our gaming team test.

@Seriously, please provide me your MWEB account details via private message.

Plenty of complaints on Guild Wars 2 over the last 4 weeks (even prior to Seacom). Most people are exclusively on MWeb. PS3 has become unplayable online for pretty much everything. Gave up on Diablo 3 2 months ago as it lagged too much. Even local teamspeak servers are not performing well and that is also not just my account issue but affects plenty of other people.

Thanks for the details MagicDude4Eva, please let me know if you are using your capped account to test with.

@MWeb Guy -

sent you PM -

Can you please check and confirm that my account has been "upgraded" to the R29 1 Gig capped effective 01 April.

Thanks

Morning AfricanTech, please see my private reply I have sent you.

Ye I'd suggest the gaming guys at Mweb have a look see because when Seacom came back, our gaming went to shyte. 250 ping to American servers on your backup versus 350 now, that's just not on thank you.

I've been having a lot of problems on my 2Mb uncapped line. I realise Seacom has been down, but my problem apears to be local.
I get good ping times, but a lot of packets are being dropped. The result is a practically unusable internet connection. Is anyone else having these problems? Any advice?
