Pretty much the same. I'll chalk it down to shaping as this is pretty much my experience every afternoon. Thanks for the help, you dont need to investigate further. If it degrades a lot more, I will PM you.

Thanks for the feedback, as a final test.

Can you perhaps change your username realm on your router to @dslmweb.co.za

I would like to see if connecting with another IP makes any difference.

WOW, that made a huge difference. Nearly 1 Mbps download faster on speedtest, and the browsing is instant. I used to log on with @tiscali.co.za.

Thanks, will monitor and give feedback if anything changes/

Awesome :D

Glad it helped... You have a good day!!

My mweb account at the office (yes, I had to work today :( ) Was flying when I left. I must admit, I downloaded quite a few torrents while slaving it today.

openweb and mweb are the winning ISPs in my opinion

You know you are dealing with a consumer orientated company when they have a friendly out of bundle data rate of 20c per megabyte with a default cut off of R500 and a minimum of R100...

Rofl that caught me too R170 for 800mb. I kinda think they need to think about stating it isn't capped and that you will be charged a ridiculous amount once "capped"

Well I am now gone from mweb, so hopefully that was the last hit I take :)

Something that's annoying me, for months now I have noticed this. Since I started turning my pc off when I go to sleep at night. When I turn my pc on in the morning everything is fine but as soon as I start utorrent my router looses sync and has to reconnect.... wtf.

I do realise that openvpn is a shaped protocol, however please comment on why I am obtaining speeds as low as 14.1kB/s average on the dsl 2Mbit premium uncapped?

I have also seen p2p speeds go from 40-50KBps of last week to 10-30KBps since yesterday.

If I move my line to MWEB does that divorce me from having to deal with Telkom technical support?

I have the uncapped 4mb from Mweb already. I need Telkom out of my life.

Just migrate your line, thats what I did. The rental from Mweb is about R60p/m cheaper also.
