MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Hi MWEB Guy

I must inform you that I still have not been credited or refunded for those incorrect charges. Please refer to the PMs regarding the story.
Promises were made and failed - the most recent was 31 May - nothing was done. We are now in June - almosts 6 months has passed.
The next step is Hello Peter and then of course since I am a member of TransUnion i will be beginning proceedings with them.
Needless so say all our accounts (6 Uncapped (R539pm) + 1 Business(R1999pm) will be cancelled.

I will give 48 hours before taking the above steps.
I really dont want to go through that tho, but i cant keep calling and emailing begging for something that was your (MWEB) cock-up.

I had a look into your account and found that you =had email communication with a business consultant.

I will have the manager of the relevant department look into it for you as soon as possible.
 
I signed up for a 6 months Uncapped contract with the first two months free at R199 per month. Now that the two free months gone by I get a invoice for R231.10 per month for the remainder of the contract. Why?

Hi Piesang

You are on the R199 package. When the 2 month free ends the R199 starts being billed pro-rata. (pro-rata once off )

Your account was upgraded 27 May. Your bill going forward is not going to be R231.10 p/m

That means that my 6th month will be R166 because it's worked out pro-rata and my contract expires on the 27th of September. Am I correct?

Basically no connection today, bought a new router and does not help? Can log onto a few local site, International seems totally dead

Please PM me traceroute to the international sites you are having issues with. There is no reported issues with international traffic.
 
Twitch.tv buffering at 360p.

Basically haven't been able to stream smoothly for over a month. Since I signed up with MWEB about 2 years ago it's always been perfect. :(

Will do when I get home. Installed a new router at lunch time, did not have much time to test but noticed that most sites did not load and local sites were slow.

These results are showing signs that the exchange could be congested. The 2nd hop is very high in these results. Telkom will need to look into this.

Twitch.tv seems dead slow to me too....

Most streams dont even load...and when they do its unwatchable

Hi, once I go the router configured things worked. International sites still seem slow though, and general browsing seems to be sluggish. Speed test though shows fantastic speeds.

I wanted to know if anyone could help me out with an issue I have been having with mweb for the last month.

Im on the 4mb uncapped unshapped adsl buisness package
We are quite active online gamers playing steam games , WoW , Diablo , SC2 etc etc , as of late we have not really had any latency issue seem to be averaging 190-210ms on WoW which is perfectly playable , now the issue is the dsl line just continously drops and between 7pm-10pm it seems to be the worst dropping about every 5-10 min intervals , I have had telkom techies at my house for the past week ive also contacted mweb for the past weeks each blame each other one says its telkom other says its mweb.

The funny part is it dosent seem to do it during the day only in the evening with maybe 1 or 2 drops during the day now I natrually thought they might be throttling us so I called mweb and they told me they would never throttle one of there uncapped unshaped accounts.

Im at my wits end and ready to hand the situation over to the lawyers if I dont get some kind of a solution soon, Hence why im posting here and maybe some 1 from the community(probably way more clued up then half the "techies" out there)could advise me on where to go from here.

Please do me a favour and run a traceroute to a local and international site. Pop me the results via PM so that I can have a look at them.
