Hi Dysphoric

Yes we do speak to Telkom on a customers behalf if the line is with MWEB.

Please be advised that no ISP can change congestion at an exchange as it belongs to Telkom and they do upgrades to the exchange.

We can bring it to their attention for you. Would you like me to log it for you?

Here is also some info on congestion and how to test for it:

http://mybroadband.co.za/news/adsl/8...ongestion.html

Hello,

Please do log it on my behalf. I have no doubt its congestion, have already tested on telkom guest and an afrihost account, latency is essentially identical.

Thanks

Hi SHVAK

From where is the ping reading?

Can you please provide me with your MWEB account details, ping test and speed tests results.

Also include a tracert to a local and international site.

Same here, trying to watch the Sa vs Romania Dota2 game on a Mweb server with 800ms.....

Hi Mweb Guy, could you please check our account. I called last month to "downgrade" from 1mb to the 2mb package and was told to wait till the end of the month for it to be changed. It's the new month now and we still on 1mb. PM me for a/c details etc.

Good morning GTtronics

Send me a PM with your MWEB details and I will have a look into this for you.

Seriously getting to the end of my tether with MWEB.

After my account stopped working last night @ 10pm (Error 601) I faxed a password change request this morning together with my ID copy. I subsequently received an SMS at 11 am stating that my temporary password will be active within 30 min...needless to say it did not happen.

So I phoned the call center @ 1 pm and after having spent almost 30 min on the phone with the techie the issue could not be resolved and I was informed to wait as there is a backlog /slow processing of password change requests. WTF?

Well its now 3:30 pm and the temp password is still not working - seriously, a whole day just to change a password?

Pro tip: register for cell/SMS password resetting as dealing with this issue today was worse than going to the dentist.
