Hi MWEB guys

could you test this site for me?

http://www.waves-audio.com
and just http://www.waves.com
(waves-audio redirects to waves.com i think)

and if it works/doesn't work could you tracert too?
not sure if this is a problem with something on my side or not but I can't access Waves Audio from work or home (both on MWEB) but I can ping both sites OK.

Hi nilhilist

I have tested this on our test PC here and I am able to access it without any trouble.

:wtf: FFS! Switched from Afrihost to Mweb and now the web are crawling like shiite.

Mwebguy? it must be congestion, the new defacto excuse.

The speedtest.net site took 5+ minutes to load. No joke.

Hi Seriously

Is your speeds better now?

For Mweb it must be a record performance. Thanks, I could not stream cricket, neither play online. It's heaven having Mweb as a ISP on a premium 4M uncapped.

Canceling is the best bet. Openweb seems to be the least troublesome of them all.

Still having trouble with my Mweb account. Gaming has been unplayable for the last 3 weeks, as I keep getting latency spikes. Would be normal for a minute, then shoot up to 900+. Minute later it will either return to normal, or stay at around 500, then back up to 900+ again, and repeat it's cycle. This being steam games, like Mount & Blade: Warband.

For games like SWTOR, this makes you disconnect (because my ping goes to 50,000+). So I have to unsub that mmo because it's unplayable now.

Hi Seriously

Please provide me with your MWEB email address and the tests you've done.

Not worth the lying effort. I would just rather cancel as Mweb is not a patch of their former self.

Hi

That's not good. Please also have Telkom recreate the ADSL port.

Also provide me with a tracert to a local & international site.

Hi Seriously

Sorry you feel that way and hope you change your mind.

Not a chance. You had ample time (months) to fix your feckup of a network and I was very patient up to now. Employ new engineers that know ISP structures and systems.

I mean. The first time in months I download a torrent (6.7MB) it download at a lightning speed of 4kb/s ave with a attempted burst to 19 kb/s. 28 minutes to download the file and for that I fork out R539/month. Fecking pathetic and I was a Mweb client for more than 10 Years.

I can only laugh at this result.

I used to be a big proponent of MWEB, now I'm not getting what I paid for. At first it was only torrents that were heavily shaped, so daytime speeds were pathetic. I was willing to accept poor torrent speeds to some extent. Poor overall browsing speed on the other hand is just unacceptable given that MWEB is definitely one of the most pricey ISPs around. Thankfully August is the last month I have to deal with this.

Good morning NS1

I would like to look into why you are getting those speeds. There could be various reasons, as to why you are obtaining those speeds. Please PM me the MWEB email address and I will provide you with feedback.
