Good Day Flashfire208, I will escalate your feedback to our gaming team to see if we can replicate your issue with Dota 2.

Also are you playing DOTA with any active traffic on your network?

Your comments are becoming quite annoying and aren't helping anyone. I understand that you are frustrated, but there is no need to comment on almost every person's post to have a snipe at MWEB.

Facts is facts. It's my right as an Mweb member to give the facts frustrations or not. In the past I promoted and defended Mweb when they were still on the ball now unfortunately the role reversed with reason.

So get a life.

Good morning NS1

I would like to look into why you are getting those speeds. There could be various reasons, as to why you are obtaining those speeds. Please PM me the MWEB email address and I will provide you with feedback.

I sent you the details. Nothing has changed yet. As reference here is the result on my Cybersmart account.

Evening, I cannot retrieve any account details for you.

Please send the MWEB account details via private message

I am still getting massive latency spikes every now and then which last for a few minutes at a time. And the only way to sort it out is to reset my router. Nothing else running or hogging my line.

Good Day, please change your username realm on your router interface to @dsl512two.co.za and let me know if the change in IP improves your experience.

I changed the realm to dslmweb.co.za but only latency appears to have improved. Down speed is still a problem.

I know it's been said before but the gaming dept has no clue and I just wanna post it for postings sake ......

Why the higher latency in online games with Mweb but others are fine? It shouldn't be that way, end of.

Ok I had contact again with Telkom logging a line speed fault as suggested by Mweb. I have done everything from changing modems, computers, connections and now even changed ISP's and I still have a issue. So I withhold any further opinions until I have Telkom feedback.

Very strange indeed.

Strange latency issues: When i reset modem and change from @dslmweb.co.za to @mweb.co.za to force new IP the tracert looks fine and the latency is low:

Tracing route to 195.12.238.193 over a maximum of 30 hops

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1
2 10 ms 9 ms 9 ms 41-133-134-1.dsl.mweb.co.za [41.133.134.1]
3 10 ms 10 ms 10 ms te1-1-0.505.cpt-ipc-1.mweb.co.za [196.28.178.178]
4 10 ms 10 ms 10 ms 197-84-3-2.cpt.mweb.co.za [197.84.3.2]

But after about 10-20min the latency deteriorates and this is what the tracert looks like:

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I've been having the same damn problem for 2-3 days now. It's not my exchange, other ISPs are fine, it's just mweb doing this. It's completely random for me, and out of nowhere I'll start getting high pings to everything from 500m-2k ms for a while, then it'll disappear and come back again. Resetting my router fixes it for a while too, and then it just starts again. There have been the same complaints on their FB group by others with the EXACT same issue.
