Hi MWG

I know that maintenance was scheduled for today, and just need to ask if that would dramatically affect MMO's?

Planetside has become near unplayable and websites (even google) are taking their time to load...

I only received one call yesterday and that was very early in the morning, we already discussed for the afternoon so it was probably about the ADSL migration and not this issue. My cell that you have is fine.

Mweb Guy, whats up with the latency on Mweb's network?

Just got a call from my brother in Richards Bay, he says it is slow down there as well...
So I switched him to my IS account and it works fine??

Latency seems to be 300ms+ in KZN on Mweb?

I'll check on my side with the relevant persons but as far as I know there shouldn't be any issues.
Are you getting these latencies on local servers or international?

Damn telkom, internet is up and down again. Issues on Saturday, perfect for 3 days, now it's back again :(
 
Initially I was quite happy with MWeb 1 meg connection, apart from the occasional slower speed sometimes, it was good. Then after a few months I had times where I had to switch connection as MWeb just got too slow. The past several weeks I had more problems especially around the weekend and at night where my modem would refuse to connect to MWeb. Restarting the router resulted in some config error and that I should call my ISP ... at night? Eventually I decided to cancel my account and recieved an email suggesting that I consider a cheaper capped option, which I decided to do as I won't mind keeping my MWeb email address. However, the past week I'm experiencing worse speeds than before and sometimes even .03 Mbps which makes me wonder if I should even keep my email. It is bad enough that South Africans are in the situation that we are with ADSL, then ISP's and Telkom still make the experience for us worse! :wtf:
