We do have a department that is here that can assist you with the upgrade.

I can arrange for you to be contacted.

Just one thing though.

We will have to send Telkom a request to upgrade your line from up to 2Mb to a up to 4Mb account and that part can take up to 10 days to complete

The question still stands, why does it take 10 days when I can call Telkom and do it in 5 mins right now?

It takes 10 days because that is the turn around time Telkom has given us for line upgrade requests we send to them.
 
Hey MWEB Giuy,
I'm a 2meg all inclusive customer and I want to upgrade my product to 4meg NOW! I phoned your sales center and they tell me I've got to send an email to a department who can only do the upgrade on maybe Monday (they don't work on weekends) and that it could take 10 working days to complete? Is this true?

Why is it that I could phone Telkom right now and have my line speed upgraded to 4meg in 5 minutes flat? But with Mweb you can't do this.

This is really very poor service, particular when customers want to spend more money on products you can't provide instantly like you should be doing. Does it bother Mweb that Telkom and every other ISP have a better response in terms of upgrading products and line speed upgrades? Shocking.

Good fail there buddy ..... Telkom owns all the damn lines and can obviously upgrade much faster. Mweb, as stated, have to approach Telskum first while Telskum can just do it :rolleyes:

Good fail there buddy, Afrihost and WA you can do it pretty much same day compared to 10 days, which is a joke.

My friend and I play alot of League of Legends and lately bot of us have noticed the ping time on LoL have been a lot higher than usual(about 50-100ms). We both on Mweb 4meg.

Please can you have a look at this.

EDIT: Now having problems even connecting to games.

EDIT2: Ping spikes up to 500ms now

Im sorry to say but MWEB has lost the plot. Their uncapped accounts are just getting worse and worse.. I will be cancelling it this week.. I had the technical team having a look @ why i couldn't connect to certain programs i use to trade.. and after 2 weeks of not hearing from them i get a call saying oh no sorry its because the package im on. I Don't even use the account to download torrents as most participants do, but for the little i use it, it doesn't work. Im done with them.. More expensive than the rest, service is bad, and the experience is shocking.

Have been getting exactly the same issue for the past couple of weeks!!! High ping rates, lots of lags and spikes! From an average of 96 to 110 ping, I now have usually have 300+ for anything international!

On a Mweb 1mb Premium and it has never been as bad as it has been for the past couple of months!

This happens every time Mweb releases a new product or reduces their prices. The flood the network and we suffer. It was terrible when they released they cheap 1mb product and this is exactly the same.

I'm not sure that is even legal, to deny access to certain sites based on the package you are on. Anyone else have an opinion/knowledge that this is so?

Perhaps you should push back a little harder.

I thought the same. It takes time to settle but I'm no longer willing to pay when it gets upset. The months notice is the reason I'm not coming back.

Is it just me or are the YouTube problems back? I'm buffering on 360p with nothing else active on my network.

Yep, everything experienced is back... Slow browsing (more timeouts) and YouTube problems. MyBB seems good, but I do receive occurring timeouts and way more on international sites.
 
My Skype has been acting up again these last two or three days.

Seriously now - I thought you had fixed this?
 
I will test skype from my side to see if I can replicate this.

I also experience this on my Mweb personal account, repeated login’s and disconnects. Happens now and then, not as regularly as in the past, like today it is running 100%, although I don’t use Skype that much since the whole company is on Gtalk.

I did do a test and it is related to the Mweb account, do not know why though, that is what you guys know and sort out. Like I said, does not bother me much, but the wife want to start Skyping from the tablet…

I got a mweb account again today and its as slow as hell . not that im ussed to with mweb . 100kb dl's on steam (local traffic) smells like throteling and yes i do have the R539 account ........ very very sad :confused:

You say that youtube and gaming gets priority but that is not how it is at the moment. Your quality is really pathetic at the moment and I'm surprise so little effort is being put in to sort out these issues.

We do take all our customers queries seriously and do our best to resolve tem.

I will escalate this to our games master to investigate.
