MWEB uncapped ADSL price cuts, free extra capped data

Yeah - being looking around for quite some time and I must say - the pricing is somewhat disappointing. 90 + 90 from Web Africa is R299.00, the 75 + 75 from MWEB is R349.00. Am I missing something?

Moving along, I pay R839 for 1mbps uncapped Data Only, a major price reduction is needed here.
Come November, once my contract is up I am gone!

In the meantime, get them to push you up to 2Mbps for no extra fee!

Don't know why so many people at MWeb are on 1Mbps still & don't even know that Telkom pushed up the minimum speeds to 2Mbps around Nov. last year. (that's how long I've had that increase in speed, for).

I put through my mweb cancellation last week. I am currently paying R549 for 4 meg uncapped which i am only using +-130GB per month.

Moving most likely to either:
Afrihost - 75+75GB(Anytime) for R299
VOX - 150GB for R485.00

At least then i can make use of my full 6 meg line(even though the 4 meg uncapped premium doesnt even max out at 4 meg).

The last time I had a signed contract with MWEB they unilaterally changed it and told me some things about myself that made me feel too ashamed to look my granny in the eye ....

I was apparently getting value for money which upset some guy called Derek H and apparently the rest of their customer base were having a bad internet experience because of me... (and they banned me from posting on the Facebook site) .... :wtf:

So no matter what they offer - I for one wont be tempted .... not even for their Fonny Router (which remains the property of MWEB unless you sell it on Gumtree)

Um, Afrihost doubled everyone's cap? and it is anytime data no restrictions?

Mweb 20GB Daytime Data + 20GB Night Time Data = R145
Afrihost 30GB Anytime Data + 30GB Anytime Data = R129

Also Mweb's capped accounts are shaped and Afrihost is unshaped......

@MwebGuy, just out of interest, why did the 5GB data only package stay the same. It's now out of synch with the rest?!?!

For the moment this product will remain unchanged. We didn’t change it because there are other benefits included like extra 5GB of movie streaming on DSTV.
