Hi guys

There has been a LOT of talk of shaping and throttling etc. but my biggest question to all those who are using MWEB's cheap uncapped packages...

Have been sent a letter warning you or have you been disconnected for downloading far too much?

If you have received a letter then post it up here, I have been a big supporter of the service and I have no complaints but I want to know if there is actual physical proof that MWEB has used their usage policy to punish.

This is not a discussion of shaping policies or if MWEB throttles, I want to know if you have received letters stating that you are in violation.

Thanks
Michael Reed

Why do you need proof? The MWEB representative on here has already stated that they have terminated/warned/suggested changing products to a small handfull of customers.

Besides which according to the other threads there is no letter. You either get a call, or you get a landing page stating your account has been terminated.

it's a fact... get use to it... Mweb even lauched an "internet Addict" package for those people to move over too...

Not sure whether to be glad or not that I am still (a dying breed I know) a capped subscriber

i'd like proof to actually see if the claims are true because unfortunately claims on a forum are little more than hearsay .

Take a screen cap of the landing page if you get one.

And would you like a sworn affidavit or perhaps a commissioner of oaths certification to go with that?

As people have said the MWeb rep confirmed these letters in various threads.

thats harsh! no warning?
can you get it back if you promise to be good?
Ar Mweb the only people who do this?

700gigs, 400gigs, 200gigs. Terminated account on 200gig month. Was using VPN, thats against their AUP. Apparently its less about amount and more about how you do it. No indication of what will keep you under the radiar. They will under no terms accept me back on as a customer.

Accept you back on that specific package? Or on any of their packages?

Really bad that they don't eveng ive people a warning. Hell an email/call to say - pelase stop XYZ; if any of XYZ is still detected after X date your account will be suspended. This would've ha been perfect!

They gave me the option to "Upgrade" the the 512 bussness package.

Can't you just signup another member of
the family. I guess that would be masochism.

I could, but I dont realy want to give them my money. If all else fails, I will do that and rip the poo out of it ;)

Im sure they will just block my NAS Port if they want to
