MWEB Uncapped is inferior. Go with Telkom Uncapped

I'd say they're both pretty inferior at the moment.

One boots you, the other caps you to pretty much the same effect.

How are you being capped/throttled (to what speed) and after how many gigs?

MWEB sucks just got a warning to vacate the premises ...

What's Afrihosts take on 2MB line heavy 300GB usage on uncapped?

We'll see this month - it seems you get throttled to anywhere between 1/10 to 1/4 of line speed, depending on how they feel. Everyone seems to have been capped at different usage levels.

I know it's personal preference but I would much rather have the living daylights shaped out of my torrents(and at the moment that isn't even the case) than be throttled at some random cap determined by the powers that be at Telkom.

If you're comparing them to MWEB, you don't just get shaped, you get booted if you "use to much" of uncapped.

As far as I know you only get booted if you bypass their shaping, and isnt really an issue for me because I've done 65Gb in the last 31 days on uTorrent and that was catching up on all the "distros" I missed out while I was away for 2 months and the currently broadcasting "distros". In the torrenting off time I was YouTubeing and OtherTubing as well as a bit of streaming from SuperSport.

Personally I would reccomend Mweb to anyone who asks.

65GB? I do that in roughly 1 week..... and that's only on 1 Mbs.

I would prefer 2 x Silver Uncapped accounts from OpenWeb than 1 x MWeb account.... both are R199.

You don't have to bypass the shaping to get booted by MWEB these days. All you have to do is trigger some unknown unquantifiable metric/pattern to get the boot. I can no longer recommend MWEB at all for that reason & also because they will rob you blind any chance they get.

Paid my last Mweb debit, now on Telkom Uncapped, it's GOD TIER INTERNET. When I switched to Telkom Uncapped, they delivered a new VDSL router, and Ipad the next day. 40MB Uncapped feels sooooooooooooo goooooooood
