I'm sure this has been covered in another thread, but I don't feel like digging through a few hundred posts.

At what point in the month can I sign up and pay for half the month or whatever? I've just gotten my adsl line up and running at my new place and I'm really keen to get uncapped going, but obviously I don't want to pay full price for 2 weeks.

From today - I phoned them this morning and they said the billing will be as follows:
1 May they will debit me for 50% of April and 100% of May. ie R539 + R279.50

Hmm. Guess I'll be sitting on hold for a bit to double check :)

Will post once I've done so.

Sign up today - they will not process your order until you have faxed it back with copy of ID and a bill for RICA. You get an active account from today - working :D but the process is only completed some time next week - ie after half the month is over...

Look that is how he said it would work, they record their calls - so I have some proof :D

Don't leave it to chance. Double check how much you are paying, when you are paying, and what you are paying for.

Cool, thanks for that! I just phoned and they said sign up tomorrow, but maybe I'll call again and see what they say. As long as I have a call ref I can use against them later ;)

Technically speaking to get the most bang for your buck.

If you sign up today you will be billed for:

on the 1st of May you will be billed
15th April to 30th April - 50%
1st May to 31st May - 100%

On 1st June you will be billed
1st June - 30th June - 100%

If you cancel on 15th June, you should be refunded
15th June to 30th June - 50%

Ask for your refund :)
