MWeb unstable browsing situation 02-Oct-2010

Well sorry to burst your bubble I in durb's and I've started having major issue in the last week with mweb.

I battle to evan connect to steam this evening, to be told by mweb support there is nothing wrong... yet when I use my axxiss backup account all is fine..

I asked the tech to log a fault so someone can follow up. Just got told he can't cause there is no fault on the line.. so plz explain that 1?

I was also on the line to them complaining earlier. Can barely browse a site...Gmail was timing out then to top it off I try downloading a pdf attachment (1mb) and in trickles in at 5kb/s
I got told my line is perfect so nothing wrong in their eyes, if the problem persists I'm to call Telkom to check out my exchange and line. Weird how my Axxess account FLIES when swapping over to it....Telkom's exchange and the copper line from my house clearly can detect a MWobble account and thus it won't play nice...cause it's clever like that....NOT!!!

Mine also did that,i thought it was my fault cause i usually tweak around the settings

BTW.

You can do a pingtest an tracert to determine some problems

when your using the command prop just type in ''tracert yourdomain.com'' and it should give you a full list where your connection is going.

I've been pinging 8.8.8.8 (Google) for a while now, time is between 280ms and 230ms with no drops YET.

This is not a good way to test it. The Google DNS uses AnyCast which changes the actual location you are pinging on the fly. i.e. Consistency is about as good as throwing dice.
