Mweb vs afrihost (Uncapped)

i am currently with afrihost but towards the end of the month im being throttled like hell, getting a web page open is a pain in the ass! has anyone experienced anything bad with mweb ?
 
Some people like being with them, others complain bitterly. It's a matter of what you use your line for and your expectations of the service, more than anything else.
 
I did Afrihost for 3 months.... when they pulled the new FUP I dropped them "Like its Hot". It made Afrihost completely unusable. Been with Mweb for two months now and I am perfectly happy with them....

Though I went back to Nexus; Smallish ISP but I like them.
 
left afrihost 3 months ago after they throttled my line into oblivion. been with mweb since and I am very happy.
 
me too - the service levels dropped with FUP and now very happy back at mweb
 
It sounds like you jumped from the

Please show me what is better at the same price as MWEB/Afrihost/IS?

I have a 4Mbps service (R539).

I havent been with Afrihost, but I am on mweb and I love it. One thing I telll everyone is that torrents are throttled to hell, otherwise everything else is awesome. Given that I dont download torrents, I love it. I average about 40-60gb a month which I think is acceptable. I have done about 250-300gb, but having had uncapped for about a year now, there isnt that much to dload anymore.
 
Loving MWEB over here... Averaged 200 or so gigs a month for the last 3 months. Going slow this month so only 150. Just schedule bulk downloads for 12pm to 7am and you will be fine.

Isn't that the point though.

You aren't using torrents, you haven't got
much to download, so what do you need
uncapped for?

That doesn't really follow from his post. But I guess you just post anti-Mweb stuff in every thread so anyway.

My Afrihost uncapped was good but it was long before the new FUPs, MWeb's been fine too. Torrents are actually quite fast lately.

For 40-60Gb a month and the freedom to do 25-300 if you want to, like his post said. That's far cheaper than you can get on capped. It's actually dead obvious man.. really. Why are you so negative about MWeb? Strange that every other post in this thread is saying MWeb is better than Afrihost.
 
Afrihost stinks. After 20 Gig I'm throttled to death. Don't go near them.
 
how does MWEB uncapped compare to Afrihost uncapped? im sick of this throttling from AH, done 40gb so far and they've cut my speed!
does this happen on MWEB? at what amount do they start throttling you? also what sort of pings do you get on online gaming for PS3?
im looking to go for the 512 uncapped
