I will start a petition thread for all mweb uncapped subscribers called "Mweb, yes you can (Or we wont)" for any mweb subscribers who are presently unhappy with speeds at the moment. Essentially a petition for voicing our grievances and a ultimatum to sort it out or we vote with our wallets. No long posts on the thread..just put down your name or simply say "Me too"..you get the drift

I will use this account for exactly one month..no improvements = no R600.00 to mweb. (less Telkom of course :))

Goodluck.

You'll most likely get worse speeds from an IS uncapped than you're getting now with Mweb uncapped.

With Mweb you just have to use the correct download protocols/applications, and then you can do like 200GB/month easily.
But if you're using torrents, then it's your own fault that your speeds are so bad.

My speeds dropped for a few mins today... funny enough... while I was checking mail and watching some virals on youtube.
But they went back to normal after maybe 5 or so mins.

Honestly... I had to wait an extra 5 minutes before watching the teaser trailer for Mass Effect 3... I was shattered... (heavy sarcasm)
straight afterwards... I was downloading vids at over 400Kb/s and I downloaded NVIDIA drivers at PACE!

Seriously... I'm happy with my uncapped speeds... although, I would LOVE for the 10mb option to be cheaper. The extra money doesn't justify the extra speed IMO.

Change to IDM... stop downloading teh torrents...

Unless they willing to spend the extra cash on Open Web Gold, even that's no 100% though. But yea 'cheap' uncapped account are not perfect yet.

Let's see if we speak to mr beep and try a group discount if we all move

Yes, Mweb might not be perfect, but it's way better than anything else for for the price. Like I tried to explain to another forum member a while ago, no-one with more than 2 brain cells downloads torrents directly anymore anyways, it's risky, it's inconvenient, and apparently it's very slow as well.

They're still the only real uncapped (apart from maybe Openweb, which is more expensive). Go try one of the IS "uncapped" accounts with usage based, per-user throttling, where they call you an "abuser" after transferring like 30GB (LOL) and just flat out soft cap you.

I wouldn't bother with a petition. Crappy speeds started in May already and still here. Just cancel and get it over and done with.

I'm giving it another two weeks... if things dont improve, I'm going to spend the bit extra and move to Open Web Gold. I dont mind being shaped during the day, but after hours is ridiculous.
